In the Illinois district of the Wesleyan Church we love and encourage new church planters!  We have a heart to connect people to God through Jesus Christ, and we believe that church planting is one of the best ways to do that.  We are currently seeking church planters and teams for the Chicago area who are high energy, entreprenurial and creative.  It is our vision to plant multiple churches in Chicago.   Check out the details below!

The Illinois District of The Wesleyan Church exists to increase the number of healthy, growing and multiplying churches in Illinois.

If you want to be a part of this missional movement, here’s what you do!

  1. Send your resume to District Superintendent Al Goracke at agoracke@illinoisdistrict.org.
  2. Each potential church planter will participate in a formal assessment.
  3. Upon Assessment each church planter will be requested to present a church planting plan and budget to the District Board of Administration. Upon approval of the plan, appropriate funding will be assigned by the District Board of Administration.
  4. A coach will be chosen to walk through the next year with the planter.
  5. Appropriate administrative support will be given to secure bank accounts, EIN #’s and other details of the plant.
  6. The planter will be a part of a local network of church planters.
